The North March was a pass on the border between Ko-Wahi and Ta-Wahi on the island of Mata Nui.

History

The North March was established after the Matoran of Metru Nui traveled to the island of Mata Nui and colonized it. The Ta-Koro Guard had an outpost there, and a Cable Car for Guard members to use to travel from Ta-Koro to the slopes of Mount Ihu.

Around the time of the arrival of the Toa Mata, the Ta-Matoran stationed at the North March were attacked by infected Rahi under the influence of Makuta Teridax and were defeated. A Ko-Matoran, also stationed in the region, Kopeke, was frozen during the skirmish as well. Consequent to the Matoran's defeat, Jaller, Captain of the Guard, lost contact with the sentries. Fearing that they had been attacked, he recruited the wandering Av-Matoran Takua to join the Guard and get a report on the Makuta's efforts on the mountain. Takua traveled to the North March and used a Heatstone to thaw out Kopeke. Kopeke returned to his post and told Takua that the Ta-Matoran had been taken by Teridax. Takua then left the area to travel to Ko-Koro. Later, he returned to ask Kopeke to join the Chronicler's Company. Kopeke agreed and abandoned his post.

The North March was later destroyed by the reawakened Bohrok swarms.
