The Layamat, the race of the Barraki warlord Kalmah, hail from a harsh, storm-wracked land, having developed keen survival instincts and a high tolerance for pain. Fittingly, each Layamat has an individual power that can only be discovered through a trial of great distress; due to the highly dangerous nature of their home island, many of them discover their power naturally instead of having to seek out a situation in which to do so. When pursuing a goal, Layamat rarely give up until they have accomplished what they set out to do. Their armor is typically stylized and decorated with ornate designs. Layamat are capable of using Kanohi.
