Tanes is a tropical island in the east of the Matoran Universe.

History
During the first civil war on Konora, a group of Kolhaki made it to Tanes in search of a safe haven and established a society alongside the Matoran natives. Later in its history, a minor warlord of Konora arrived and established a tyrannical rule on Tanes. This individual would come to be known as the Tyrant.
Landscape
Tanes is a tropical island known for the great Rahi predators roaming its jungles. Rahi attacks are nothing rare on Tanes, and the local villagers have adapted.
