After discovering the Makuta was responsible, the [[Toa]] led an uprising to liberate the island leading to the Makuta’s imprisonment. The island has been recovering ever since.<br /> <br /> == Landscape ==<br /> With the exception of the desert in the northeastern corner of the island, the majority of Zanua is covered by rainforests. Many of the villages here are built in the treetops where the [[Matoran]] are safe from the notoriously aggressive [[Rahi]] found on the island. The [[Akuni Mountains]] span across the island, separating the north and south.
