== History ==

Many Swamp Stalkers lived on the [[Southern Continent]]. As such, many were carried to the [[Swamp of Secrets]] by the [[Giant Waterfall]] when the [[Great Cataclysm]] caused [[Voya Nui]] to rocket upwards to the surface of [[Aqua Magna]]. Exposed to the [[Pit Mutagen|mutagenic waters]] of the swamp, the Rahi grew to a gigantic size and developed armor plating, and resided in the swamp for 1,001 years. These specimens did not survive the [[Energy Storms]].{{BookCitation|BL11}}

== Abilities and Traits ==
The Swamp Stalkers possess powerful jaws, which they use as their primary weapons.

In [[Karda Nui]], Swamp Stalkers were mutated to be much larger and had strong armor. The Rahi would typically lurk beneath the waters or in the mud of islets, waiting for prey to pass by before attacking.
