== History ==
The staff was created by {{p|Artakha|Being}}{{GregCitation|OGD|page=257|post=10269|lines=2,15}} after the Great Cataclysm{{GregCitation|CwGF|page=869|post=14337120|lines=6,16}} and placed in the [[Archives]] of [[Metru Nui]], where the [[Toa Mata]] were intended to retrieve it, as per the [[Scroll of Preparations]]. However, the [[Dark Hunters]] stole the staff{{OnlineCitation|TNB|chapternumber=2}} and gave it to [[the Shadowed One]], their leader. The Shadowed One later sold the staff to [[Xia]] in exchange for weapons.{{OnlineCitation|TNB|chapternumber=5}}

1,000 years after the [[Great Cataclysm]], [[Makuta]] [[Teridax]] bid Makuta [[Icarax]] find the Staff of Artakha. The staff's power range is far greater than that of a Great [[Kiril]].
