== History ==
The Reclamation Yard was the destination of flawed tools and [[Kanohi]], where they were temporarily placed in storage containers so that they could later be melted down for recycling purposes at the [[Protodermis Reclamation Furnace]]. The area was supervised by the [[Ta-Matoran]] [[Kalama]], who was considered to have held this post for too long, as he talked to the masks as if they were alive. Security was light, as the [[Vahki]] believed that no one would be interested in stealing items from a junkyard.

During the [[Morbuzakh]] attacks, the [[Mask Maker]] [[Nuhrii]] visited the Reclamation Yard to track down a Kanohi mask that he had created. The mask was allegedly flawed because he had forged it too quickly, and Nuhrii had sent the mask to the Yard to be melted down. After receiving a note from [[Ko-Metru]] stating that the mask was fine and should not be recast, Nuhrii hurried to the Yard, only to discover that the Kanohi was in fact flawed. Soon after, [[Toa Metru]] [[Vakama]] visited the Reclamation Yard, where Kalama explained that Nuhrii had already been to the pile of unwanted debris and departed. Acting on information from a note that Nuhrii had dropped, Vakama departed the Yard as well.{{BookCitation|BA1}}

The Reclamation Yard was damaged in the earthquake caused by the [[Great Cataclysm]]. After the events of the [[Great Rescue]], it was here that [[Vakama]] and [[Makuta]] [[Teridax]] met at a stalemate in a [[Battle for the Kanohi Vahi|battle]] over the Kanohi [[Vahi]].{{BookCitation|BA10}}

1,000 years later, the yard was later repaired by the usage of the [[Staff of Artakha]].

The Protodermis Reclamation Yard, like the rest of Metru Nui, was severely damaged when a fragment of [[Aqua Magna]] struck the head of the [[Great Spirit Robot]] during [[Teridax]]'s [[Battle of Bara Magna|battle]] with Mata Nui.
