== History ==
During the time of the [[League of Six Kingdoms]], [[Barraki]] [[Takadox]] directed his forces from his capital at [[Onopeturi]], and built a great sea wall to protect the island. However, during the island’s reconquest by the [[Brotherhood of Makuta]], the wall was heavily damaged and later scrapped for raw materials. Nynrah later also became home to a small community of [[Vokuru]] refugees, whose [[Visorak (Location)|homeland]] to the south was ravaged by the [[Visorak (Rahi)|Visorak]].

== Landscape ==
The island of Nynrah is known as one of the great industrial centers of the Matoran Universe, alongside places like [[Metru Nui]] and [[Xia]]. Famous for a local sect of [[Fe-Matoran]] master smiths – the [[Nynrah Ghosts]] – it is widely acknowledged that while Nynrah might lack the production capacities of Xia and Metru Nui, only the mythical [[Artakha (Being)|Artakha]] could surpass Nynrahn robotics and metalwork. The island itself has been largely stripped of natural vegetation, and possesses no noteworthy natural resources apart from a handful of [[protodermis]] mines. In the distant past, Nynrah was known as the homeland of the [[Manidi]] species.
