The '''Matoran Spheres''', also called '''Stasis Balls''' and '''Matoran Pods''', were transport tools created by [[Teridax]]. Thousands<ref>[https://board.ttvchannel.com/t/matoran-count/40507/15 TTV Message Boards: Ask Greg - Matoran count?, 5 October 2018]</ref> were created for the purpose of holding the entire population of [[Matoran]] on [[Metru Nui]].

== History ==
The pods were created as part of Teridax's scheme to take over Metru Nui. During that time, Teridax placed [[Turaga]] [[Dume]] in a Matoran Sphere and impersonated him. Teridax also commanded the [[Vahki]] to put the Matoran into the pods for [[Mata Nui's Reawakening|his plan]]. Teridax would then, using the pods to put the Matoran into hibernation and erase their memories, claim them as his own by telling lies about being their savior and other tales to them once they were awakened and "saved" by him. This did not work, however, and the pods were later taken by the [[Toa Metru]] and was brought to the shores of [[Mata Nui (Location)|Mata Nui]] where the Matoran inside were reawakened by the [[Toa]]. During this voyage, the [[Po-Matoran]] [[Ahkmou]]'s pod was lost in the sea, being the only pod not rescued and brought to Mata Nui by the Toa Metru.

Due to the aftermath of being in the pods, all of the Matoran's memories were erased and they were gradually degraded to a less powerful and shorter form. The pods, along with the [[Airship]]s used to carry the [[Toa Metru]] and the Matoran to {{p|Mata Nui|Location}},{{BookCitation|BW}} were melted down and used in the construction of the Koro.
