On Metru Nui, Marka lived and worked in [[Ga-Metru]].

During [[Toa Metru]] [[Nokama]]'s search for the missing Ga-Matoran [[Vhisola]], Marka assisted the [[Toa]] of [[Water]] in locating Vhisola on top of a building, where she had been chased to by the [[Dark Hunters]] [[Nidhiki]] and [[Krekka]].{{BookCitation|BA1}}{{MediaCitation|NoTMMPCD}}

Before the events of the [[Great Cataclysm]], Marka was coerced into going to the [[Coliseum]] by [[Vahki]] under the command of [[Makuta]] [[Teridax]] (disguised as [[Turaga]] [[Dume]]) and was placed into a [[Matoran Sphere]]. She entered stasis, but was [[Great Rescue|rescued]] by the Toa Metru and spirited away from the city, and was later awakened on the shores of [[Naho Bay]] on the island of {{p|Mata Nui|Location}}.{{BookCitation|BA4}}

Marka's size and power were diminished by the effects of the Matoran Sphere. Despite this, she participated in the construction of [[Ga-Koro]], supervised by Turaga [[Nokama]], using parts of the disassembled [[Airship]]s that had been used to transport the Matoran to Mata Nui.{{BookCitation|BW}}

Marka once talked [[Amaya]] into joining a rowing club, with Macku's help. When a [[Great Temple Squid]] attacked the [[Boat]], however, Marka was pulled down into the water, and was saved when Amaya and the other Ga-Matoran attacked the [[Rahi]], but she had already fallen unconscious by then. She temporarily lost her [[Kanohi]] [[Hau]] and was carried back to Ga-Koro by Amaya. Her mask was later recovered by [[Macku]].{{OnlineCitation|T}}
