== History ==
The Longfang species was created by the [[Makuta]] using [[Virus]]es and [[Protodermis#Liquid Protodermis|Liquid Protodermis]] to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the [[Matoran Universe]].{{BookCitation|MGttU|63|entryname=The Makuta}}

On [[Metru Nui]], Longfangs lived in [[Onu-Metru]], especially the [[Archives]]. After the [[Great Cataclysm]], most of the smaller Rahi that made up their diet fled, forcing the Longfangs to move up onto the surface of the city to hunt. [[Turaga]] [[Dume]] tried to convince the [[Rahaga]] to capture the Longfangs, but the Rahaga refused, insisting that the Rahi had become part of Metru Nui's natural ecosystem.{{BookCitation|BW|31|chapternumber=3|chaptername=Metru Nui|entryname=Longfangs}}

== Abilities and Traits ==
