Due to the presence of the [[Brotherhood of Makuta]], Destral became a hotspot for diplomatic activity for most of history.<br />

== Landscape ==<br />
As the headquarters of the powerful Brotherhood of Makuta, most of the island is taken up by the organization’s massive fortress complex. High cliff faces, jagged rock formations, and the lack of noteworthy natural plant life and [[Rahi]] make it an uninviting place.<br />

Formidable defenses in the form of hidden traps and a plethora of guards further deter visitors. Fittingly for one of the most powerful organizations in the universe, Destral harbors not only<br />
countless valuable and dangerous artifacts, but also possesses one of the great libraries of the universe – the tablets there rumored to contain many great and dangerous secrets, and thus naturally being barred from the public. <br />

The most noteworthy feature of Destral, however, is the fact that it is the only island without a defined location. Through utilizing a teleportation device deep inside its bowels, Destral can teleport to wherever there is room for it in the universe, enabling the Brotherhood to take their base with them to wherever they need it – and enabling them to show up right on the doorstep of whoever was unwise enough to invoke their ire.<br />
