== History ==
The Brakas species was created by the [[Makuta]] using [[Virus]]es and [[Protodermis#Liquid Protodermis|Liquid Protodermis]] to be one of the [[Rahi]] to inhabit the [[Matoran Universe]].{{BookCitation|MGttU|entryname=The Makuta|page=63}}

The Brakas made their homes on [[Metru Nui]], where they were such pests that the [[Matoran]] asked [[Turaga]] [[Dume]] to have them banned from the city. Dume had [[Vahki]] capture all the specimens and put them in the [[Archives]], from which they later escaped.{{BookCitation|BEU|18|entryname=Brakas}}

Brakas are not especially dangerous, though they can work themselves up into a frenzy and become a mild threat to Matoran.
