== History ==
The Avohkah were by-products of the [[Av-Matoran]]'s laborious efforts to prepare [[Karda Nui]] for the Great Spirit {{p|Mata Nui|Being}}'s awakening.{{GregCitation|OGDi|page=289|post=11534|lines=9-12}} When they first appeared in [[Karda Nui]], the [[Matoran]] believed that they were simply lightning, until several Av-Matoran were killed by them. The [[Toa Mata]] were summoned to defend the Matoran.
